Brian was a great tour guide, very personable and informative. Our tour was on a Monday which meant that some dining establishments were closed, so instead of going to six places, we were only able to go to four. Our meeting place and first stop was Felix's Restaurant & Oyster Bar where we had char-grilled oysters. I've never had oysters and I'm not a big seafood fan but I'm always up for trying something new and they were DELICIOUS; cooked with butter, parmesan cheese, and breadcrumbs, and very tender. Our second stop was Royal House Oyster Bar where we had chicken and andouille gumbo and crawfish toast, both were very good. A quick stop at Leah's Pralines for a praline (and I probably bought a little too much to take home with me) and the final stop at New Orleans Creole cookery where we had jambalaya and a drink (drinks were self-purchased). Even with only stopping at four restaurants, we didn't leave hungry. I would recommend this tour for anyone wanting to sample some of NOLA's traditional dishes.

What can I say, this tour was fantastic! Lisa is a true gem!!!! So passionate about NOLA, the food, the history, the traditions and just freaking awesome! The food was fantastic! Luved the small group/intimate feel. We also had a member of our group with dietary issues, and she catered to her needs! Would recommend a million percent!

The food was some of the best I had all week. The guide shared a lot of cool history. Had a fun group. My plus one couldn’t make it. I thought I should be offered to take that extra portion that I paid for. But the guide ate it instead

This tour was great! It was just enough food for a little taste of everything without overdoing it and getting too full. The gumbo was awesome and we enjoyed the beignets with banana foster. Lisa was knowledgeable and gave us a lot information on not just the food but the history of the city as well.

Lisa did a great job facilitating our tour. I loved that she was so clear on the structure of the tour, laying out expectations and inviting questions at every turn. The food was excellent and the tour kept a nice pace and had a good mix of walking and sitting. She sprinkled in history about NOLA as well as the food as we went which was really interesting!
