An absolutely must when you visit NYC. This ground zero experience was very moving, especially with all the little known details of 9/11 that our tour guide shared. The 9/11 museum was also an absolute must and beyond anything you can imagine. Even three hours wasn’t enough time to take it all in. The ride up to the 100th floor (almost the top) of One World Trade Center (nicknamed The Freedom Tower) was really cool. I suggest you get your camera ready (video mode, landscape orientation) for the ride up the elevator.

I am so thankful that Tim was our guide for the 90 minute guided tour around the 9/11 memorial. I so enjoyed the way that he engaged with everyone on the tour and did his best to remember everyone's names. He had pop quizzes as we went along which was a lot of fun. It was fascinating to hear people from Australia, the UK, and other states in the U.S. of how they found out about the attack. Tim even showed up a couple of things around that we would never know to look for, ie the American Express building memorial and orb statue (I can't remember exactly what it was but they found it under the rubble and kept it as is). He gave us little tips for other places in the city that were visible where he could. Visiting this memorial was extremely special for me, and I'm sure everyone on the tour. We all remember that day, those weeks, and months. It was completely life changing and culture changing. Tim shared with us how they have trouble getting people to buy space at Freedom Tower because of its height and 9/11, and that the price per sq ft is pretty cheap for NYC. Businesses are scared to move in there. I can't say that I would want to work there either so I get it. I left the tour feeling a bit more patriotic and unified than I have in a long time. Meeting Tim was really special as well; you can tell he loves the city and that 9/11 means a lot to him.

We loved this tour! John Bow was very knowledgeable and friendly. He catered to our needs, kept track of us, and told us some great stories and information along the way. I feel like I have learned so much more about New York than I would have on my own.

Excellent walking tour of NY. So glad we took a walking tour as you had the opportunity to stop and ask questions at locations. In about 5 hours we saw and learned so much on our first day there. Our tour guide, Dan, was excellent. Very knowledgeable, very patient and a lot of fun. So very glad we took this tour and Dan, hope you get a new bike soon! 😁👍

What a great way to see a LOT of NYC. Highly recommend this walking tour and our guide John Bow was fantastic!! Fun, personable, and insightful. He provided so many fun city facts throughout the tour as well as other tips for the rest of our stay in NYC! He picked a GREAT lunch stop for us and at the end of the tour made sure everyone knew exactly how to get back to their hotel/train. 5 star tour with a 5 star guide!

I always prefer a conducted tour of the city on my first day to understand the city better. This walking tour turned out to be excellent. Our tour guide JIM was not just amazing, he also set a super example by being so agile ( he is 68 !! ), providing us some brilliant tidbits from history and making way for good small talk along the way. Well walking tours are great for a reason as it gives you an opportunity to interact more, take in more of the city, specifically cities like NYC which are meant to be covered by foot :) The tour practically covers all the key parts of the city including an induction into the NYC subway system ( yes you need that ) and the Staten ferry. It's about a half day of walking, so book away, totally worth it ! and ask for Jim !!

Jim was amazing - funny, insightful and very helpful in answering questions and keeping us all safe and together while continuing to move along at a comfortable but brisk pace. Jim loves sharing this city and it really shines through in his joy as he describes what we are seeing. It truly WAS eye-opening and fun. Thanks Jim for a great time in our short visit.
