Here is how this museum works. Once you have a ticket, they have you scan a code on your phone and it contains the complete audio guide to the museum and the ghost hunting segment. They have free wifi, so no worries if you can't download it. You go upstairs and there are four large rooms filled with numbered exhibits. The audio guide is very educational, but I had to turn the volume down low and hold my phone to my ear since I didn't have headphones. So maybe bring headphones. It's not necessary, but I would have been a lot more comfortable. Anyway, there are 65 detailed exhibits. The displays are quite realistic and audio really added the background. There are signs, but I felt the audio was much more informative. And you can jump around between the exhibits, so if someone is at an exhibit, just go to a different one. There are quite a few interactive exhibits and some great photo opportunities. You can always get a deal on tickets. I bought my ticket on their site, saving 25% and then I got a coupon code to save more. So you should never have to pay full price for this ticket. And if you buy it online, it's good any day or time. I thought it was a fantastic museum. I learned a lot and was really impressed with the place. If you have young kids, I would give it a pass, but age 10+ would love it. Yes, some of the exhibits are shocking, but it is a Museum of Torture! What do you expect? And honestly, I thought the price was fair, given the quality and detail of the exhibits. I spent about an hour and a half there. They have toilets and a small shop.

I don’t know how I made it out alive. Scary but cool. Great props/replicas of torture devices. Atmosphere/mood is on point. Would visit again.

Very detailed and informative tour with a lot of good ambiance—no jump scares, just creepy. The “bodies” are well done, and they cover a far larger amount of torture devices than I expected across history and geography. Appropriately unsettling and well worth your time!

Neat place to visit. We were just going to visit the gift shop but had so much fun going through the exhibits. It’s a little gruesome but that’s part of the fun.

Really Fun! Unique, odd, weird, scary, and very educational. Highly recommended. Not for small children. Very graphic and very creepy, but part of our human past. I would really love to have a Halloween party there.
