  • Car

    If you're traveling by car, start from Leh city. Head towards the Zangsti Hemis Complex, which is about 11 kilometers southeast of Leh. Follow the Leh-Hemis highway (NH-1) for around 10.5 kilometers until you see the sign for Hemis Monastery. Turn right towards Hemis Monastery and continue for about 1 kilometer. The Zangsti Hemis Complex will be on your left. Make sure to check for parking availability upon arrival.

  • Public Transportation

    For those using public transportation, catch a shared taxi or bus to Hemis from Leh. Shared taxis are available near the Leh market, and the fare is approximately INR 100-150 per person. The journey takes about 30-45 minutes. Inform the driver to drop you off at the Hemis Monastery; from there, it's a short 1-kilometer walk to the Zangsti Hemis Complex.

    If you're already in Hemis Monastery, simply walk towards Zangsti Hemis Complex. After exiting the monastery, head down the main road, and follow the directional signs. The walk is scenic and will take around 15-20 minutes. Enjoy the beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and landscapes along the way.
