The Ruins of the Etruscan Temple of Belvedere, located in the charming Giardini Pubblici (Public Gardens) of Orvieto, represent a significant piece of Etruscan history. Discovered in 1828 during the construction of Via Cassia Nuova, the temple dates back to the 5th and 6th centuries BC. It is believed to have been a place of worship dedicated to Tinia, the Etruscan counterpart of the Roman god Jupiter. Today, visitors can explore the remains of the temple, including the foundation, some parts of the columns, and the stairway. The temple's original layout included an entrance hall with four columns, leading to a space with three cells. The central cell was wider than the others. Architectural terracotta pieces recovered from the site are now displayed in the Museo Claudio Faina and the Museo Archeologico Nazionale of Orvieto.
