I hired James to take my mother on a tour of Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve. Before the tour, he answered all my questions and checked to see if my mother had any special requirements. I felt very reassured that she would be in good hands on the tour. When my mother arrived at the Wetland Centre, James met her and, upon discovering that she had forgotten her sun hat, he very kindly provided her with a spare hat that he had brought. My mother found that he was enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the reserve and many other topics. He looked after her very well and made sure that she had opportunities to rest in shade where possible. They saw lots of wildlife, even a croc or two! We would not hesitate to use James again in future.

Our guide James was amazing! He brought a wealth of knowledge to the tour on history, ecology, and wildlife. I added numerous species of birds to my lifelist and had a great time during the visit. James brought a spotting scope which made it easier for us since we were traveling without one. James surprised us with his knowledge of lots of different things including plants and even fish. Even though we were focused on birds, a highlight for me was watching the giant mudskippers (a species of fish) and monitor lizards.

James was an incredible guide! We met him for a guided tour of the Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve and it was the highlight of the trip for all of us! James has so much knowledge to share about the area and his enthusiasm makes it all the more enjoyable. We saw bats, horseshoe crabs, otters, crocodiles, mudskippers, and a range of birds! James provided us with binoculars to borrow and had his own monocular that he set up so everyone could get a good look at things. We definitely plan on booking with him again when we return to explore the other natural areas of Singapore.

The Nature-Tour in Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve is highly recommended. Mr. James Chan is a great tour guide. He always came up with a little story about the plants or animals, that we saw on our hike through this breathtaking nature. Time flew past so quickly. There was so much to see and James was so knowledgeable and patient in explaining all the medicinal properties, uses and characteristics of all the flora and fauna around us. We saw many creatures big and small. We saw monitor lizards, mud skippers, dragonflies, Little Egrets, Herons, Storks, estuarine crocodiles, mullet fishes, needle fishes all residing in their natural habitat. It was a nature's wonderland.

Thank you very much to Mr James Chan our professional tour guide from Lion City Guides for sharing his in-depth knowledge about Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve. Our tour guide also brought along his hunter scope and binoculars for us to enjoy the beautiful view of different species of migrating and resident birds roosting and feeding on the mudflats. We are briefed about the color flagging and the usage of satellites to study and monitor the flight pathway of migrating birds. These birds fly to this wetland reserve to rejuvenate and recharge their energy to continue their long distance flight. Our guide also shared the various significant efforts taken to preserve wildlife species from crocodiles to fruit bats, snakes, to migratory birds. We have learnt a lot from our passionate tour guide during yesterday 3 hours of interesting tour trip. This enriching learning experience has deepened and broadened our knowledge and the importance of the nature reserve. We will definitely engage James again for our next Tour Singapore experience.
