Discover more about Face Track

The Face Track is a challenging and rewarding hiking trail that traverses the northern face of Cradle Mountain, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. This 2-kilometer black diamond singletrack alpine trail is not for the faint of heart, with steep drop-offs and potentially muddy conditions. The track provides a unique perspective on Weindorfers Tower and Little Horn, two of Cradle Mountain's prominent summits. As you hike along the Face Track, you'll be surrounded by Tasmania's unique alpine vegetation and treated to panoramic vistas. The trail is particularly stunning on a clear day, offering splendid views up and down the mountain range. While the Face Track can be walked in either direction, it's often combined with other popular trails in the area, such as the Hansons Peak walk.
