Car
If you are driving, begin your journey from the Cradle Mountain Visitor Centre. Follow the Cradle Mountain Road (B51) towards Lake St Clair. After approximately 30 km, turn left onto Lake St Clair Road. Continue for another 10 km until you reach the Lake St Clair National Park entrance. The park entry fee is about AUD 16 per vehicle for a day pass. Once inside, follow the signs to the Hartnett Falls trailhead, which is located near the Lake St Clair visitor area.

For those relying on public transport, take the bus service from Hobart to Lake St Clair, which is operated by Tassielink. Ensure to check the timetable in advance as services may not run frequently. Once you arrive at the Lake St Clair bus stop, you can walk to the Hartnett Falls trailhead. The walk is about 2 km, following the signs towards the waterfall. Be prepared for a moderate hike and ensure you have enough water and snacks for your journey.
