Walking
If you are starting from Kingscote, walk to the bus stop located near the Kingscote Visitor Information Centre. Board the Kangaroo Island bus service headed toward Penneshaw. After about a 45-minute ride, get off at Penneshaw. From there, follow the signs towards the ferry terminal and take a ferry to the mainland. Once you arrive at the mainland, continue to walk towards the nearest bus stop to catch a bus heading to Cape Willoughby Lighthouse. After about an hour of travel, you will arrive at the Cape Willoughby Conservation Park. Follow the walking trail signs to reach the lighthouse.

Rent a bicycle in Penneshaw or Kingscote. From Penneshaw, cycle along Cape Willoughby Road heading east. The journey is approximately 20 kilometers and offers picturesque views of the coastline.
