Getting There

  • Walking

    If you're starting from the Salzburg Cathedral, head southwest on Domplatz toward Kapitelplatz. Continue straight through Kapitelplatz until you reach the intersection with Getreidegasse. Turn left onto Getreidegasse and walk until you reach the intersection with the Linzergasse. Turn right onto Linzergasse and proceed until you reach the Salzach River. Cross the river using the Makartsteg pedestrian bridge. Once you cross, continue straight until you reach Mirabellplatz. Mirabell Palace will be on your left.

  • Public Transport (Bus)

    From the Mirabellplatz bus stop, take bus number 1, 2, or 3. This bus will take you directly to the stop named 'Mirabellplatz', which is right next to the palace. The ride is only about 5-10 minutes depending on traffic. Once you get off, you will see Mirabell Palace directly in front of you.

  • Bicycle

    If you have access to a bicycle, you can ride along the Salzach River bike path. Start at the riverfront near the Old Town and follow the path south. After about 10 minutes of cycling, you will reach the bridge (Makartsteg). Cross the bridge and continue straight to Mirabellplatz. Mirabell Palace will be just ahead on your left.
