Getting There

  • Driving

    From Deer Lake Airport, take the Viking Trail (Route 430) north for approximately 3 hours. Pass through Gros Morne National Park. About 110 km north of Gros Morne, turn off the Viking Trail towards Port Saunders and continue to Port au Choix. Once in Port au Choix, follow Point Riche Road to the Visitor Centre. Parking is available at the site.

    From accommodations in Port au Choix, the site is accessible by walking along Point Riche Road. The walk to the visitor center is approximately 30 minutes from the center of town. Enjoy the coastal scenery along the way. Note that there are no sidewalks for a portion of the walk.
