From Ruka, take Route 5 (E75) towards Kuusamo. Continue for about 20 kilometers until you reach the junction with Liikasenvaarantie Road. Turn left onto Liikasenvaarantie Road and follow it for approximately 10 kilometers. Look for signs for Kiutaköngäs, which will lead you directly to the parking area near the nature preserve.

Start by taking a bus from Ruka to Kuusamo. Check the local bus schedules for the most suitable departure times. Once in Kuusamo, transfer to a local bus heading towards Oulanka National Park. Make sure to inform the bus driver that you want to get off at Kiutaköngäs. The bus will drop you off near the entrance to the nature preserve, and from there, it is a short walk to the waterfalls.
