From the center of Seydisfjordur, head towards the Seydisfjordur Church. Walk up the hill on the road leading towards the church. As you reach the church, continue past it and follow the path that leads up into the hills. This path will take you towards Gufu waterfall. The hike is approximately 2.5 kilometers and should take about 30-40 minutes. Keep an eye out for signs indicating the direction towards Gufu waterfall.

If you're starting from the Seydisfjordur harbor, take the main road towards the town center. Once you reach the town center, follow the same directions as above, heading towards the Seydisfjordur Church and up the hill. This route is the most direct and scenic way to reach the waterfall.

For those located near the local campsite, the walking path to Gufu waterfall will also start from the campsite area. Follow the marked trails leading away from the campsite towards the hills. This will connect to the main path leading to Gufu waterfall. The distance from the campsite to the waterfall is about 3 kilometers, which should take around 40-50 minutes to hike.
