Look for the signs directing you to Froad Háöldukvísl, which will be on your right. Turn onto Froad Háöldukvísl and continue for about 5 kilometers until you reach the parking area near the glacier. Ensure your vehicle is equipped for Icelandic roads, especially in winter.

If you are using public transportation, take a bus from the Skaftafell bus stop that goes towards Höfn. You will need to get off at the stop near the junction for Froad Háöldukvísl. Check the bus schedule ahead of time to ensure you have a return trip planned.
