To reach Hlauptungufoss via public transport, first take a bus from Reykjavik to Þingvellir National Park. Once at Þingvellir, you will need to hike about 5 kilometers from the park entrance to the waterfall. Follow the path that leads south from the Visitor Center towards the waterfall.
