Walking
Start at the main market area in Leh (also known as Leh Main Bazaar). From here, head towards the Leh Palace which is a well-known landmark. Once at the Leh Palace, continue walking towards the Chamba Temple, which is located nearby. From Chamba Temple, take the road leading to the direction of the Likir Gompa. Continue walking along this road, following the signs for Likir. The total walking distance is approximately 50 kilometers, so it is advisable to take breaks. You can also stop at local tea stalls along the way to rest and recharge.

Bus
At Leh Main Bazaar, find the local bus station where you can catch a bus heading towards Likir. Buses operate regularly, but make sure to check the schedule. The bus ride will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive at Likir, disembark at the bus stop, and from there, you can walk to the Likir Gompa, which is about a 10-minute walk from the bus stop. Look for signs indicating the way to the Gompa.

If you are up for an adventure, you can rent a bicycle in Leh. Start from the Leh Main Bazaar and take the road leading towards the Likir Gompa. The ride will take you through beautiful landscapes and small villages. The total distance is about 50 kilometers, so plan for a half-day trip. Ensure you have enough water and snacks as there are limited stops along the way. Follow the main road, and you will eventually see signs directing you to Likir Gompa.
