Getting There

    From the central area of Herculaneum, head towards the entrance of the Herculaneum archaeological site. Once you exit the site, turn left onto Via IV Novembre. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Via Roma. Turn right on Via Roma and follow this road as it winds down towards the coast. Upon reaching the coast, you will find the ferry terminal. Here, you can purchase a ticket to Amalfi. The ferry ride will take you directly to Amalfi, which is located at the heart of the Amalfi Coast.

  • Train and Bus

    Start from Herculaneum's train station. Take the Circumvesuviana train towards Sorrento. After approximately 15 minutes, get off at the stop for Pompeii Scavi. From there, transfer to a bus heading towards Amalfi. The bus journey will take around 1 hour, winding through beautiful coastal roads. Once you arrive in Amalfi, you'll be in the scenic area of the Amalfi Coast.

  • Taxi

    If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from Herculaneum to Amalfi. Simply hail a taxi at a designated taxi stand or ask your hotel to arrange one for you.
