    From the main square in Herculaneum (Piazza Francesco D'Assisi), head towards the Marina. Walk down Via IV Novembre until you reach the waterfront. Once at the waterfront, look for the ferry terminal. Purchase a ticket for the ferry to Capri. The ferry ride takes about 30-40 minutes. Upon arrival at Marina Grande in Capri, follow the signs towards the funicular railway station. Take the funicular up to Capri town. Once you reach the town, walk towards Via Tiberio, which is about a 15-minute walk uphill from the town center. Villa Jovis will be on your left as you approach.

  • Public Transport

    Start at Herculaneum and walk to the nearest Circumvesuviana train station, which is Ercolano Scavi station. Purchase a ticket to Sorrento, and board the train. Get off at Sorrento station. From Sorrento, walk to the port and take a ferry to Capri. After arriving at Marina Grande, follow the signs to the funicular railway and take it up to Capri town. Walk about 15 minutes to Via Tiberio, where Villa Jovis is located.
