Getting There

  • Walking

    From the Orvieto Funicular station (Piazza Cahen), exit and walk towards Via Roma. Turn left onto Via Roma and continue for approximately 600 meters. Look for signs to Museo Emilio Greco, located on the right side at Via C. Battisti, 5. The museum is a short distance from Piazza della Repubblica. Alternatively, from the Duomo di Orvieto (Orvieto Cathedral), walk towards Piazza del Duomo. Take Via del Duomo east. After about 300 meters, you will reach Via C. Battisti. Turn left onto Via C. Battisti, and the Museo Emilio Greco will be a short walk down the street on your left.

    From the Orvieto train station, take the funicular to Piazza Cahen. The funicular costs €1.30 per person each way (€2.60 round trip); children under 6 are free. A 90-minute ticket includes the shuttle bus from Piazza Cahen to Piazza Duomo. From Piazza Duomo, walk to the museum (see walking directions). Alternatively, take the 'Circolare A' bus from Piazza Cahen to the Duomo. Bus tickets cost approximately €1.50 and can be purchased at newsstands or tobacconists.

    If driving, parking is available at the Orvieto Scalo train station (Piazza della Pace), which is free. From there, take the funicular to the top. Paid parking is available closer to the city center at Via Roma and Campo della Fiera, costing €1.50 per hour. Parking near Piazza Marconi and Piazza Cahen also costs €1.50 per hour. Be aware of limited traffic zones (ZTL) in the city center.
