Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in the central area of Pompeii, head towards the main entrance of the Pompeii Archaeological Park. Once you exit the park, walk towards Via Villa dei Misteri and turn left. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Corso Giuseppe Garibaldi. Turn right and follow the road until you reach the Circumvesuviana train station, which is approximately a 15-minute walk. At the station, take the train towards Napoli and get off at the Ercolano Scavi station. From there, exit the station and walk straight onto Corso Resina. The Archaeological Park of Herculaneum will be on your left at number 187.

  • Public Transport

    From Pompeii, make your way to the Pompeii Scavi-Villa dei Misteri train station, which is a short walk from the archaeological site. Once there, purchase a ticket for the Circumvesuviana train heading towards Napoli. The journey to Ercolano Scavi takes about 20 minutes. After arriving at Ercolano Scavi, exit the station and head north on Corso Resina. The Archaeological Park of Herculaneum will be on your left at number 187.

  • Taxi

    If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from anywhere in Pompeii. Simply tell the driver to take you to 'Corso Resina, 187, Ercolano' which is the address of the Archaeological Park of Herculaneum. The drive should take around 10-15 minutes depending on traffic.
