    If you are starting from Kyoto Station, take the Karasuma Line subway northbound towards Kokusai Kaikan and get off at Shijo Station (approximately 5 minutes). From Shijo Station, transfer to the Hankyu Kyoto Line and take a train towards Arashiyama. Get off at Kawaramachi Station (about 10 minutes). After exiting the station, head east along the main street, Shijo-dori, until you reach the Kamo River. Cross the river at the Sanjo Ohashi Bridge and continue walking east until you reach Higashiyama Ward. At the intersection, turn left onto the road leading to the temple. Follow the signs to Ryōzen Kannon Temple, which is about a 15-minute walk from the river.

    From Kyoto Station, take bus number 100 or 206 towards Kiyomizu-dera. Get off at the 'Kiyomizu-michi' bus stop (about 15-20 minutes).
