From Kyoto Station, take the JR San-in Line (also known as the Sagano Line) towards Saga-Arashiyama Station. The train ride takes approximately 15 minutes. Once you arrive at Saga-Arashiyama Station, exit the station and head towards the north exit.

Upon exiting Saga-Arashiyama Station, turn left and walk along the street until you reach the main road. Cross the road and continue walking straight. After about 10 minutes of walking, you will reach the scenic area of Arashiyama. Keep walking straight past the famous bamboo grove until you reach the entrance of Saga Toriimoto Preserved Street, which is on your left.

Alternatively, after arriving at Saga-Arashiyama Station, you can take a local bus (Kyoto City Bus) from the bus stop right outside the station. Look for the bus heading towards 'Kiyotaki' or 'Hozu River', and get off at 'Toriimoto' bus stop. From there, Saga Toriimoto Preserved Street is just a short walk away, approximately 5 minutes.
