Getting There

    From Nara Park, head southeast towards the Nara National Museum. Once you reach the museum, continue on Sanjo-dori Street until you reach the intersection with Ganriincho. Turn left onto Ganriincho and walk straight for about 10 minutes. Sarusawa-ike Pond will be on your right, just past the intersection with Azemichi Street.

    From Nara Station, take the Kintetsu Nara Line to Nara (if you are not already there). Upon arrival, exit the station and walk towards the main road. Head towards Nara Park, passing through the park until you reach the Nara National Museum. From there, follow Sanjo-dori Street southeast and turn left onto Ganriincho. Continue walking straight for about 10 minutes until you see Sarusawa-ike Pond on your right.

    If you are near Todai-ji Temple, exit the temple grounds and head southwest towards Nara Park. Walk through the park and exit at the southern end towards Sanjo-dori. Turn left on Sanjo-dori and walk until you reach Ganriincho. Turn left again, and after about 10 minutes, Sarusawa-ike Pond will be on your right.
