Getting There

  • Walking

    From the Sunrise Itoyama cycling terminal, the Kurushima Strait Observatory is a short walk. Follow the signs towards Itoyama Park and the Kurushima Kaikyo Bridge. The observatory is located at the base of the bridge within the park. There are no specific costs associated with walking to the observatory.

  • Bus

    From Imabari Station, take the Imabari City Bus towards Kouracho. Get off at the Kouracho bus stop, which is near Itoyama Park. From there, it's a short walk to the Kurushima Strait Observatory. A single bus fare costs approximately ¥200-300.

  • Car

    If driving, navigate to Imabari City and then to the Kouracho area using Route 196. Follow the signs to the Kurushima Strait Observatory. There is a free parking lot available at Itoyama Park near the observatory. Note that parking may be limited during peak season.
