    From JR Takayama Station, take the Sarubobo Bus towards Hida Folk Village. The bus runs approximately every 30 minutes and stops near the Hida Earth Wisdom Center. The fare is ¥100 per ride. Alternatively, a one-day pass for unlimited rides on the Machinami and Sarubobo buses costs ¥500.

  • Taxi

    Taxis are available from JR Takayama Station. A taxi ride to the Hida Earth Wisdom Center will cost approximately ¥1,500 - ¥2,000, depending on traffic.

  • Walking

    The Hida Earth Wisdom Center is approximately a 45-minute walk from JR Takayama Station. From the station, head southwest, following signs for Hida Folk Village. The center is located along the way.

    If driving, parking is available at the Hida Earth Wisdom Center. In addition to the regular parking lot, which can accommodate 326 cars, there is also a secondary parking area which can hold approximately 50 buses or 150 cars. Parking is free.

The Hida Convention Hall is a large indoor arena with a roof designed to mirror the Hida mountain range, accommodating up to 2,000 people for conventions, exhibitions, and concerts. Additionally, the Hida Geijutsudo is a multipurpose hall that seats 500 and is equipped for concerts, lectures, and international conferences. Visitors can explore the Fureai Square, an outdoor space providing views of the Northern Alps. The center also features a symbolic wooden tower, standing 45 meters tall, representing Hida's wood culture. The main approach to the center includes a 9-meter gate and a stairway, with an alternative path that integrates a ceramic picture made using local materials.
