Walking
If you are starting from the Medina (the old town), head towards the west through the narrow streets until you reach the Bab Marrakech gate. Once you are at the gate, turn left and walk along the Avenue de l'Istiqlal. Continue straight until you see the ocean on your right. The Port de Essaouira will be directly ahead of you. It’s about a 20-minute walk.

Bicycle
From the Medina, rent a bicycle and head towards the Avenue de l'Istiqlal. Pedal straight down the avenue, keeping the ocean on your right. You will reach the Port de Essaouira in approximately 10 minutes. There are bike rental shops near the Medina where you can rent a bicycle.

Horse-drawn carriage (Calèche)
You can catch a horse-drawn carriage from various points in the Medina. Look for the designated carriage pick-up points, usually near Bab Marrakech or Place Moulay Hassan. Inform the driver that you want to go to the Port de Essaouira. The ride will take about 15 minutes and offers a unique view of the city.

From the Medina, walk to the nearest bus stop (look for signs indicating 'bus station'). Board any bus heading towards the port area. The ride should take around 5-10 minutes. Make sure to ask the driver to let you know when you reach the Port de Essaouira, as it is a well-known destination.
