Car
From Cusco, head southeast on Avenida de la Cultura. Continue on this road until you reach the intersection with Avenida La Paz. Turn left onto Avenida La Paz and follow it until you reach the town of Pitumarca (approximately 1.5 hours drive). From Pitumarca, continue on the road heading towards the Ausangate Trek trailhead. After about 30 minutes, you will reach the parking area near the trailhead. From here, you can either hike or hire a local guide to take you to the Sapantiana Aqueduct. The aqueduct is located approximately 1.5 hours hiking from the parking area.

Public Transportation
Take a bus from Cusco to Pitumarca. Buses leave frequently from the main bus terminal in Cusco, and the journey takes about 2 to 2.5 hours. Once you arrive in Pitumarca, you can either take a taxi or hike to the Ausangate Trek trailhead. If you choose to hike, it will take about 1.5 hours to reach the trailhead from Pitumarca. At the trailhead, you can hire a local guide to assist you in reaching the Sapantiana Aqueduct, which is approximately an additional 1.5 hours hike from the trailhead.

If you are already on the Ausangate Trek, you can reach the Sapantiana Aqueduct by following the established hiking trails. From the nearest campsite or landmark on the Ausangate Trek, head in the direction of the aqueduct, which is approximately a 1.5 to 2-hour hike. Look for trail markers and follow the path that leads toward the aqueduct. The stunning views and natural surroundings will enhance your journey.
