To reach the starting point of the Choquequirao Trek from Cusco, drive south on the Av Tullumayo towards the highway. Follow signs for the route to Abancay (Route 3S). After approximately 3 hours of driving, you will arrive at the town of Cachora, which is the main access point for the trek. There are several dirt roads leading to the trailhead at Capuliyoc. Please note that parking may be available in Cachora, but ensure to confirm availability and costs with locals or your travel agency.

Public Transportation (Bus)
From Cusco, you can take a bus from the main terminal towards Abancay. The journey takes about 4-5 hours. Once you arrive in Abancay, transfer to a local bus heading to Cachora. The bus ride will take approximately 1-1.5 hours. In Cachora, you may need to hire a local taxi or walk to the Capuliyoc trailhead, where the trek officially begins. Expect to pay around 10-15 soles for the bus from Cusco to Abancay, and around 5-10 soles for the local bus to Cachora.
