If you are driving from Huaraz, head south on Avenida Luzuriaga toward Calle 28 de Julio. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Calle 2 de Mayo. Turn left onto Calle 2 de Mayo and follow it until it merges with the main road (Carretera Huaraz - Pativilca). Follow this road for about 17 kilometers until you see signs for Rataquenua. Look for the road marked with 'Mirador de Rataquenua'. The last part of the journey involves a steep climb, so ensure your vehicle is in good condition. Parking is available at the viewpoint.

From Huaraz, take a minibus or colectivo (shared taxi) heading toward Pativilca. You can find these at the main bus terminal. The fare is typically around 5-10 soles. Inform the driver that you want to get off at the turnoff for 'Mirador de Rataquenua'. Once you reach the turnoff, you may need to walk about 3 kilometers uphill to reach the viewpoint. Please note that the road can be steep, and it is advisable to wear comfortable shoes.
