Turn left onto Avenida 28 de Julio and continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Avenida Progreso. Continue on Avenida Progreso for about 2 kilometers. You will eventually see signs for Mirador de Rataquenua. Follow the signs as the road turns into a dirt path leading uphill. The path may be steep and rocky, so wear good walking shoes. After about 30 minutes of walking, you will arrive at Mirador de Rataquenua, where you can enjoy stunning views of the surrounding mountains.

    From Plaza de Armas in Huaraz, walk to the nearby bus terminal located on Avenida 28 de Julio. Look for a bus or shared taxi heading towards the town of Pitec.
