If you are traveling by car from the center of Puerto Maldonado, head south on Avenida Jorge Chavez. After about 15 km, the road will become unpaved as you enter the reserve area. Continue driving for another 10 km until you reach the designated birdwatching area, marked by signs. Ensure your vehicle has good clearance for the unpaved sections.
