If you are traveling by car, start from Puerto Maldonado, the nearest city with good road access. Take the Interoceanic Highway (PE-30) southeast towards Las Piedras. After approximately 25 kilometers, you will reach a junction. Turn left onto the road towards Las Piedras town. Continue for another 30 kilometers until you reach Las Piedras. From there, follow the signs or ask locals for directions to Lago Yacumama, which is located at FV83+4V3. Parking may be available near the lake.

To reach Lago Yacumama using public transportation, start at the main bus terminal in Puerto Maldonado.
