If you are driving to Tres Chimbadas Lodge, start your journey from the town of Puerto Maldonado. Take the Interoceanic Highway (Route 30) heading southeast. After approximately 15 kilometers, turn onto the road leading to the Tambopata National Reserve. Continue until you reach the Tambopata River. Here, you may need to park your car at a designated area as direct access to the lodge by vehicle is not possible. From the parking area, you will need to take a canoe transfer across the river to reach the lodge. Be prepared for a short boat ride of about 30 minutes.
