From Vilcabamba, head north towards the town of Huamachuco. Follow the main road to the junction with the PE-3N highway. Continue on the PE-3N for approximately 50 km until you reach the town of Chiquián. From Chiquián, take the road towards Auquimarca, which will eventually lead you to the Cordillera Huayhuash area. The final destination is located at the coordinates J45H+45R, Auquimarca. Note that fuel costs and potential tolls may apply.

From Vilcabamba, take a bus to Huamachuco. Once in Huamachuco, transfer to a bus heading to Chiquián. After reaching Chiquián, look for local transport options, such as shared taxis or smaller buses, that go to Auquimarca. Ensure you have cash for bus fares, which may vary depending on the distance and type of transport used.
