Walking
From the Sintra train station, exit and turn right onto the main road (Avenida Dr. Alfredo da Costa). Walk straight for about 10 minutes until you reach the Sintra historic center. Here, you can admire the colorful architecture. Continue walking straight until you see the entrance to the Parque da Liberdade on your left. Enter the park and follow the signs to the Moorish Castle. The path will lead you uphill through beautiful scenery. It should take you approximately 30-40 minutes to reach the castle from the historic center.

From the Sintra train station, head to the bus stop located just outside the station. Board the bus number 434, which goes to both the Moorish Castle and the Pena Palace. The bus ride will take about 15 minutes. Get off at the Moorish Castle stop. Follow the signs leading to the castle entrance, which is just a short walk from the bus stop.

If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi or use a rideshare app from any location in Sintra. Simply tell the driver you want to go to 'Castelo dos Mouros' or the Moorish Castle. The journey will take approximately 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic.
