    From Göreme, head to the main bus station (Otogar) located near the center. Catch a bus to Avanos, which runs frequently throughout the day. The journey takes about 15-20 minutes. Once you arrive at Avanos, get off at the Avanos bus station. From there, you can take a local dolmuş (shared taxi) or walk. If walking, head east on the main road until you reach the Özkonak Yeraltı Şehri Yolu. Turn left and continue straight for approximately 10-15 minutes until you reach the entrance of Özkonak Underground City.

    From Ürgüp, find the nearest dolmuş stop, usually located near the town center. Take a dolmuş towards Avanos. The journey takes about 20-30 minutes. Once you reach Avanos, you can either take another dolmuş to Özkonak or walk. If walking, head east on the main road, following the directions towards Özkonak Yeraltı Şehri Yolu. It’s about a 30-minute walk from Avanos to the underground city.
