Car
If you are traveling by car, head towards Buhoma, which is the main access point for Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. From the Buhoma park entrance, you will need to follow the signs towards the Gorilla Katweew group. Drive on the main road for about 2 km until you reach the junction for the Gorilla Katweew group trailhead. There is a parking area available for visitors. Make sure to have a park entry permit, which costs approximately $150 per person for foreign non-residents.

Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a shared taxi or bus from Kampala to Kisoro or Kabale. Once you arrive in either town, you will need to take a boda-boda (motorcycle taxi) or a hired car to Buhoma. The fare for the boda-boda to Buhoma is about 20,000 UGX ($5). Upon reaching Buhoma, ask for directions to the Gorilla Katweew group trailhead, which is about a 10-minute walk from the main Buhoma area. Ensure you have your trekking permit ready, as it is mandatory for gorilla trekking.
