The 1692 Salem Historical Day Tour will meet at the Hermetic Arts Center at 272 Essex St. Your Guide will check you in, and the tour will start at the corner of Essex and Sewell St. From there, you will continue down Essex St. to the Witch House.
As you walk through Salem to visit each historical site, you will hear a jaw-dropping story covering Salem's history before the trials, what caused the witch hysteria, who were the Judges and Accusers, how residents responded to the accusations, who were the 20 victims, and how the trials came to an end.

Jeff has a vast knowledge of Salem in 1692 and offers logical reasoning as to why the witch trials occurred. This is a fantastic history tour, not a silly ghost of supernatural tour.
Jeff’s passion is clearly in display as he has dates, names, and facts at his fingertips. He also provides restaurant recommendations.
We thoroughly enjoyed the 2+ hours we spent with him and during the tour we decided we had to come back to Salem to see more of it.

This tour was fantastic! My friend and I took it after taking a not-so-good tour earlier in the day, and the difference was unreal. Jeff was so knowledgeable. He's clearly passionate about the witch trials, and the fact that he grew up in Salem is a bonus. He gave us lots of sources from which he got his information. He also told us when he was sharing his thoughts or opinions on something, or when things had been inferred by historians due to lapses in the documentation, or "the records say xyz". The tour ends at the Salem Witch Trials Memorial, and I found it really powerful that we stopped at each stone to honor each victim individually. If you do one thing in Salem, take this tour.

This was a great tour! The amount of information that Jeff has is huge! I wish it could have been longer, I wasn't ready to stop learning! He's a great storyteller and weaves humor in which is a good contrast to the dark history. I would do it again!

This was an amazing walking tour!! My friend and I took this tour one evening after trying a different walking tour earlier in the day. This tour was so informative and interesting! Jeff gave a lot of historical information and was very detailed. It was such an interesting and informative tour. I highly recommend it to anyone in the area whether they know much about Salem or are a first time visitor. Jeff is a fantastic guide! He’s funny and engaging! I really appreciated him giving sources and specifying what parts were his own theories verse research. 10/10 would definitely take another tour with him!

My niece and I took this tour and there were only 4 of us that evening. Jeff was SUPERB!!! His knowledge is unsurpassed!! We had already gone to many of locations that were on the tour, but Jeff gave us so much more information about the happenings in 1692! It is an easy walking tour through Salem with many stops along the way!! I would highly recommend this tour if you really want to know the truth about 1692!!!

My girlfriend and I took the tour with Jeff. We were the only ones that night. I saw the amazing reviews for Jeff and so was eager to see how he'd handle just two people. Jeff was great! He really knew the material- as all the reviews state. One thing that stood out to me was how much Jeff cared about his community of Salem. I am happy I took his tour and was able to contribute to the town of Salem. I feel like I missed out a little because I can tell Jeff likely shines in a big group. Next time I may rally a bunch of people and take his tour again!
