We will begin with a visit to Solid State, a black-owned independent bookstore featuring a diverse selection of fiction and non-fiction titles, an extensive children’s book and young adult section, and a selection of stationery and gifts that appeal to customers of all ages. Solid State Books also offers a variety of community programs. Here you will be able to grab a water/soda which will be included, from this bookstore we will take a 15-20 minute walk (or Uber based on weather conditions, which will be included in the price) where you will see more of the Capitol Hill including neighborhoods and beautiful architecture. During our walk we will see The Capitol (brief stop), The Supreme (brief stop) Court and Library of Congress (pass by)

Capitol Hill Books -Located in the Capitol Hill neighborhood since 1991. A quaint bookstore with many rooms, includes sections like the Mystery Room, the Cultural Closet and the Weird Section.

Eastern Market

Eastern market is located in the historic heart of Capitol Hill. A premier place for fresh food and art. Since the tour will end here, feel free to stop and spend more time.
