Such a great walking tour! So much great information and the Tour Guide is wonderful at answering questions. You get a lovely overview of the city and its history and what it has to offer now. Definitely make this the first item on your vacation to do list. It will help with planning your days in Salem. The coffee and morning treat were fabulous!

Karen is AMAZING! She is very knowledgable about everything Salem, not just the food aspects. She was very forthcoming with information and willing to answer any questions you may have. We did FOUR different tours in our two day trip and hers was THE best. The places she took us to try food were outstanding and the information she gave was hugely valuable. We did the afternoon stroll first thing upon arriving to Salem and it was the best decision as Karen gave us great advice and ideas on what to do and see for the rest of our stay. I cannot say enough good things about this tour and would recommend to anyone and everyone who is looking to go to Salem.

Karen was EXCELLENT! She was so friendly, warm, and knowledgeable. It was the highlight of my trip to Salem. I learned so much and had a fantastic time learning it!

We did the AM coffee walk our first morning here and it was absolutely the best tour I have ever done anywhere. Karen is such a great tour guide and you tell she's very passionate about her job. We learned all about the history of Salem, beyond the witch trials, as well as places to see, eat and shop! The spice tour at the end was wonderful! If we come back we are definitely doing the longer tour.

Karen is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about Salem! We tasted some delicious things but we also learned a lot about the non-witchy history of Salem! I would strongly recommend doing this tour at the beginning of your time visiting Salem so you can take advantage of Karen’s hints on where to eat and shop! We thoroughly enjoyed it!

Great information and had an great time even in the rain! Our guide knew so much about the town and New England in general.

We wound up being the only group on the tour this morning. Our guide was FANTASTIC. She’s so lovely and lively! . It was amazing. I really enjoyed learning the history. We’ve been to Salem a couple of times but didn’t really explore. The places she told us to eat were fantastic. Next time we come up, we’re going to do the food tour! I can’t recommend this tour enough. We had such a great time.

This is my second time doing the Salem Food Tours (the Wickedly Delicious October Stroll) and I loved it just as much the second time as I did the first. The host Karen is welcoming, knowledgeable, sweet and opens up the world of Salem both exploring the Salem of today and it's Maritime history through the experience of food. I also love that we get to learn and hear from some of the small business owners as well throughout parts of the tour. All the samples are delicious (from clam chowda to cheese to spices and more!) and you are given some time to shop as well. I can't recommend this tour enough! I plan on doing it every time I visit Salem.

We LOVE food tours and this one ranked up there. Karen was an amazing guide and the information she shared was so helpful in plotting out the rest of our stay in Salem. We ventured into areas that we had not previously hit. Found some gems that we definitely will hit again the rest of this week and learned so much. Of all our food tours, this is the first where we walked away laden down with food. You don’t just eat at restaurants but at all these quaint little shops as well and you’re going to want to take more of what you taste and try home with you so when she says bring a tote bag she’s not kidding. Also she highly suggested a bottle of water and I almost passed on that since I could not imagine needing water just walking around on a beautiful fall day but there are stops where you’ll need to cleanse your palate between courses like for the spice tasting and the wine but I don’t want to spoil too much of the fun. Just trust me. So good, entertaining and enjoyable. She also just had her accessories line launch and we got to see a shop window that put on a display of her wares. I included that photo of her posing with her gear.

Karen is the absolute best. This is our second tour with her, and we literally booked our day around when her tour was running. The weather was miserable this time around, but we hardly noticed because Karen is just so wonderful and engaging. The food and history is awesome, and there’s a great mix of popular sites and hidden gems she’ll introduce you to. Book a tour with Salem Food Tours. You won’t regret it.
