The tour guide, Joel was helpful, provided information for taking photos at important spots, and helped us throughout the ride. Overall I have enjoyed the ride and would recommend this tour to anyone who loves cycling.

This was not really a small group as I think we had about 15 with varying levels of ability and ages. I was one of the oldest and the slowest, as I couldn't keep up with the others on hills and often fell behind. That meant that I often didn't hear what the tour guide said as he didn't wait for me. The leader kept going faster because he said he had to keep the youth from pulling ahead. So I would not advise this for older folks who are not physically fit for biking on hills. The hills weren't that high, but there were more than I expected. On the other hand, my husband, who bikes a lot, very much enjoyed it.

Great trip round the park with Dan who was easy going and fun- he definitely had a great memory for films that were shot in Central Park! We chose ebikes only because we had never used them but ordinary bikes would have been fine as only a couple of small hills. A good mix of historical facts and current info, e.g. what celebrities live nearby. As I had got married in the park he made sure to stop off for a revisit which was lovely. Dan was a great host, offering to take pictures and not at all rushed. Would recommend!

We loved our guide and enjoyed the cycle ride but overall it was a bit chaotic. The shop was absolutely crazy busy, no restrooms and just confusing. We felt a bit like cattle being herded in the beginning. We lost have of our group, thankfully we met them a few stops later. Our guide was informative but the group was too large, making it difficult to hear all of the information given. I would recommend going with a smaller group.

Mixed experience from this tour. On a positive note, the bikes provided were good and the tour itself (in terms of route, locations visited etc.) was well thought out. We had great weather in the park too which was great. However, our experience of the organisation from the bike rental shop was poor: when we arrived the queue for bike rental was very long and there was no one directing those who actually had tours booked (such as ourselves) to the inside desk; some of the staff that we spoke to, particularly those distributing the bikes, were rude to ourselves and other customers - I understand the busyness of the place will have made their job stressful, but this shouldn’t be let out on paying customers. Finally, our tour guide (though a nice guy) was quite quiet during our tour and didn’t deliver the tour about the park with much fluidity - other tours taking place at the same time seemed to have guides who were much more confident and could orate the tour better.

This was one of the highlights of our trip to New York. We were lucky to have Paul Kelly as our guide - he was friendly, funny and engaging and pointed out all of the lovely sights of Central Park and gave us a bit of background and history. He was very encouraging of my mum who is in her 60s and hadn’t been on a bike in 20 years - she was worried she wouldn’t keep up but ended up loving it. It was a wonderful way to see the park, especially on a sunny and dry day. My only negative comment would be that the checking in process was very chaotic. There were several large queues when we arrived 20 mins before the tour and we weren’t sure where to go - we were worried about missing the tour. There was also additional paperwork to fill in that we didn’t expect and we had to leave personal ID at the bike shop - they wouldn’t accept copies. I can’t let that detract from Paul Kelly’s excellent tour though and would recommend it wholeheartedly - albeit with the advice to turn up early and tell staff straight away that you’re on the tour.

Cycling in Central Park was outstanding, the guide was good. The bikes were poor very memorable and fun experience.

Almost every stop. Even though I grew up in NJ and have been to Central Park a few times in my life, it was always for a certain event and so I never learned about the Park itself. This was quite enlightening and interesting. Our guide, Chuck was the best. He really knew what to tell us to make it fascinating and fun. He timed our riding and stopping in a way that made it completely enjoyable and doable for a 77-year-old (fit) woman.

Five biking friends and I did this tour with Chuck as our guide. The tour was wonderful on a perfect day. The bikes were just ok for some of us because we weren’t on our own, comfortable bikes. I’d do it again.

I enjoyed hearing the history of the park, and about the design of the. park. Chuck, our guide, was excellent.
