Ella was our guide on a wildlife tour in mid September. The bus visit about 14 people and it was comfortable. From the start Ella asked what we most wanted to see and when we all answered “Bears!” She did he best to give us the best opportunity. After hearing there was a spotting she drove up and down the river corridor and we finally spotted them! A mom and two cubs. Highlight of the trip but after that she took us to several other viewing areas, set up the scope, helped us take photos and shared her knowledge of the wildlife. She was a great tour guide. We really were fortunate with the incredible weather, couldn’t have asked for a better day to experience the magic and beauty that is Haines. Driving home, we spotted a humpback whale close to shore and we pulled over to watch it, apparently that is extremely rare and was a very special treat to see. Highly recommend this tour and Ella as your guide.

We did see a few animals like bald eagle and mountain goat, which is not worth the cost of the tour. The guide was kind and helpful. You can actually do this on your own as the bus travels mainly up to the chilkoot river and back to the ferry, with some commentary.

Haines was an amazing way to see Bears. We drive along the Chilkoot River and saw a mama bear and 2 yearling cubs fishing. We stopped and watched for 20-30 minutes. It was amazing and we got some great pictures!! What a fantastic excursion.

We did get to see great wildlife. We were a bit as we expected more learning how to take pictures. That didn't happen. Whether you keep your camera on automatic, are a camera pro, or use your phone. You will get great pictures.

Waist of time and a lot of money. We saw 3 bears and our guide, Chad was not going to stop to view them. He said the tour guides had an agreement that they would not stop on the road. He finally stopped because he knew I was very disappointed with the entire experience. We walked to a place where alot of people were standing on the road, photographing the bears. Our guide Chad said if they come closer, we need to get back to the van. They moved a little closer and Chad yelled “get back to the van!!” I had to make my way thru about 20-25 other people photographing the bears, to get back to the van. All the bears wanted to do was to catch fish, they did not even notice all the people photographing them. Bottom line do not waste your precious time or hundreds of dollars on this disappointing tour!!! If you do waist your time, hopefully you do not get Chad as your guide.

Our guide, Garrett, did a great job of finding eagles and seals but the most outstanding part of our tour was seeing bears at the weir across the river and watching the mama and her cubs all up the road toward us. We were safe in the bus.

Pat was an excellent guide. Very knowledgable and I was able to get some great wildlife photos. Had a wonderful time! Thanks Pat!

We really enjoyed seeing this area. Our guide Lindsey was fantastic. She was very knowledgeable about the area and answered all of our questions. Which was good because my daughter had lots of questions. It was a relaxed tour of several beautiful places.

It was really more of a scenic tour than a wildlife tour, but the scenery was outstanding. Guides were great and the small group structure kept us all engaged

An incredible tour in Haines of the Chilkoot wilderness because of Pat, our tour guide. He was very knowledgeable, professional, and accommodating. He stopped numerous times during the tour to point out wildlife and allowed time to photograph eagles etc. The day started with Christine promptly picking us up at our cruise ship and driving us to the ferry. The ferry ride to Haines and back to Skagway at the end of the tour was pleasant, filled with great photo opportunities and was narrated by naturalists. I would definitely recommend this tour!
