Robert was a great tour guide and provided a nice perspective on the historical significance of Chinatown. The food was excellent and we tried a few things we have not tasted before. It was interesting to learn about some of the Chinese culture that came to America during the Gold Rush. I really enjoyed the tea shop and presentation given on the varieties and brewing of tea for our drinking pleasure. Who would know we’ve been doing it all wrong! Good job Stretchy Pants tours!!!

We're SF locals, but we joined this tour with some friends who were visiting from out of town. It was such a great way to learn about some of the hidden gems of Chinatown and to reacquaint ourselves with this fantastic part of our city. Robert did an excellent job of balancing the history with the food experiences and he was always up for answering our questions. We enjoyed every one of the food and beverage stops on this tour from the dim sum and peking duck to boba tea and especially the tea tasting. Robert even gave us some tips for where to purchase some of our favorite Chinese baked goods after the tour. Another highlight was visiting the temple and hearing about its history from the charming woman who is its caretaker. We plan to recommend this tour to any of our friends or family members who come to visit San Francisco!

This was such a great experience! Robert has deep knowledge of the area and the history, which he was happy to share. I feel like he was really able to give a lot of context about Chinatown that brought the area to life and made it feel very real. He selected fantastic food that took into account my food, allergies, and preferences. I feel like every place we went I exclaimed “this is the bite of the night!” in particular, I really loved hearing about different types of cuisines in the area and the different pieces of history. I highly recommend this tour! You’ll get lots of great food, great company, incredible history, and you might even get your fortune read.

We enjoyed our Chinatown food tour with Robert. He was very informative and knowledgeable about the history, the people, and the food. We were there on the first day of the lunar new year so there were crowds of people trying to get into the restaurants but because we were with the tour we were immediately moved to the front of the line and seated promptly. The tea house with Uncle Gee was great. I highly recommend this tour!!

Robin was great! I got to try to all sorts of yummy food and the tea experience was fantastic. I can't wait to come back and see Uncle for more of the best tea I've ever had.

Our tour guide Jacob was fun. Received excellent tips on food stalls/items and learned a lot about Chinatown history. Enjoyed the rapid tea tasting the most. The egg tart was excellent, will go back to the store for it.

Hands down this was the best way to experience Chinatown. Toner was not only knowledgeable but really picked some tasty places to eat. Although the food was great, the tea stop was my favorite!!
