This was a tour that I personally feel EVERYONE needs to experience. The host Jeremy is beyond amazing and fun. His presentstion is top notch, informative, and FUN!!! The desserts are awesome. I have done this tour twice and you never get the same stories twice. Please if you're visiting Charleston check this out!!!

We absolutely loved desserts with death. The stories were awesome and the desserts even better. Our host was fantastic and it was a worth while experience.

My son and I did two different evenings with Charleston Culinary Tours. The Pints, Pubs, and Taprooms crawl tour was so informative with the historical facts shared and the guide, Coby, was a wealth of knowledge and had a fun personality. Our next evening was the Dessert with Death. The guide shared ghost stories and lots of visuals with his storytelling of Charleston’s last 350+ years. The desserts were tasty, but we enjoyed the haunted history much more. Both of our guides the two evenings were amazing, very personable, they kept it fun, light, and certainly didn’t short us on the incredible history of Charleston. These two evenings were the highlights of our visit and we are already planning our return.

We did “death is a drag” with Kira and had the best time. She was amazing and an amazing storyteller. It wasn’t what we were expecting at all and I’m so glad we did it. The desserts were so yummy but I’m most pleased with all of the history we learned. Would totally recommend Kira!

Would not recommend, it was not what expected, thought it would be more dramatic. We only received 3 desserts, Byrds cookies, a 7 layer bar and a raspberry lemon cupcake that was so sweet you couldn’t eat it. The drink was good but other than that wouldn’t waste the time or money.

Desserts were so yummie. The Sugar Bakery is the bomb! The history and stories were very informational.

We enjoyed the space, the story content and the presentation. The slides helped visualize along with the history. The host really knew the history and has a passion for it. The deserts could have been a little more elevated or at least one of them for the cost. The small cookies and Benne wafers were enjoyable to start. The Earle grey tea donut needed better presentation with just some powdered sugar. There was a small ice cream drink which was the best out of all of them. The final one was forgettable. There should have been one pie or cake slice for the money spent. Nice china and crystal would have elevated it nicely (they used plastic plates and cups). They did offer some complimentary left over alcoholic drinks which was quite nice of them. Overall we enjoyed it but felt the price didn’t match the food provided

While death might be a drag, it's certainly entertaining! Kira and team salvaged what would've been a disaster of a night (we had another tour cancel without informing us), and ended up being one of the highlights of our 5 year anniversary trip. Kira is hilarious and full of knowledge about Charleston, it's history, and why there's so many ghost stories. The desserts are delicious, the jokes are fantastic, and the entity messing with the technology certainly sets the mood too. If you're in for a laugh and a tasty treat + a whole lot of sass, this is the experience for you.

We’ve had many laughs regarding how bad this was in the days following, but obviously that was not the intent. First of all I don’t think the presenter was sober. Second, it was a PowerPoint presentation, and the images had descriptions like “this isn’t her, but I think she probably looked like this“ and “this is a picture of a purple dress I found on the Internet.” I understand that he used to do this presentation in drag, which would’ve made it so much more fun and interesting. Regardless, we still chuckle about it, and the snacks they gave us were good.
