Very well designed tour, I was thinking it was gonna be an architecture tour with a little food and some booze, but it was actually way more that I could eat. Carefully thought out, would highly recommend.

Ana was very good and informative. The food selections were great. My only complaint is that she called ahead to let the restaurant know we were about 7 minutes out. She was reassured that they would be ready for us. Once we arrived at Rosario's we had to wait approximately 45 minutes to be seated. We were number 3 in line. There was 7 total in our party. Because of the delay, we missed going to the river for a sunset photo. Our time was crunched and we had to rush to the Sushi bar for dessert before they closed. They graciously waited for us and did not rush us straight out.

Our tour guide was lovely, but our tour ended up taking almost 5 hours. She struggled to articulate the historical knowledge part of the tour. On other food tours that we have taken, we have had reserved seating with immediate availability. When we reached the restaurant for dinner, we had to wait an hour for a table. During that time, we were not offered a beverage, not even water, while we were waiting. We actually discussed leaving and not finishing the tour. We didn't end up eating until 9 pm which meant that we had to go straight to the "dessert" location before it closed at 10 pm which meant there was no "tour" after dinner. This tour has great potential, and I hope they can improve the execution of it. For the price of this tour, I was extremely disappointed. I felt we should have been offered a partial refund or even an extra drink as an improvement of the customer service. This was by far the most expensive, worst part of our entire trip. We could have easily strolled through town on our own reading the historical marker signs and waiting in line for dinner for a third of the price.

I am so glad I made the drive to San Antonio when I had to go back to Dallas for business. Feast is the word for this tour. We begin at a great German establishment that was crucial to the development of this town (I hate to give away the Secrets, so if I am vague it is only so you can be surprised and enjoy like I did) Then the tour begins...then a FEAST, Tex Mex. mmmmmm. We enjoyed the early evening and saw so much history and a very private portion of the Riverwalk, finishing our night with champagne. Norma was the BEST. And I appreciate that this tour begins in the early evening so we escape the heat of the day.

I am a big fan of food tourism but found this tour when looking for a walking tour of this historic district. Combining cultural tours and food tours is brilliant. We had a great walking tour of the area and were shown the area of the riverwalk tourists never see, set in this stunning neighborhood. From our first to our last bite the food was steller and abundant, A feast indeed. The best food tour I have ever taken.
