Joe, our twerk God was great. It was fun seeing the Chelsea market. Fun thing to do in NYC! Good variety of food

Joe was a great tour guide, his knowledge was huge, not just food but local history. The tour ran over as it was so interesting. . . Thoroughly recommend this tour, but be prepared for a lot of carbs!!

Joe is AWESOME and so filled with information. He is a foodie and has lived in NYC for several decades. His personality is electrifying and he has the uncanny ability to put smiles on every participant’s face. Food is delicious. Food modifications and allergies are honored. The history of Chelsea Market and the Meat Packing area is so interesting. The High Line is a nice bonus. The 3 hours pass easily. If you have some walking concerns, don’t. Elevators are available. Not strenuous. Many nice Instagram and Social Media opportunities. My husband accompanied me and he immensely enjoyed Joe’s tour despite losing out on a day of cycling on Long Island. He wants to return with other couples. Bring a water bottle with you and it can be refilled during the tour. Request Joe and you won’t be disappointed.

I did the food tour of Chelsea Market on Sunday. This tour is a great way to experience Chelsea Market and see the High Line. Our guide, Cindy, was phenomenal and does a great job avoiding and navigating the crowds. Highly recommend this tour and next time I’m in NYC, I’ll definitely book another tour.

Cindy/Susie (depending on her mood) was fantastic. She later told us she's also an actress and it shows, especially in her Rudy Giuliani impersonation. We had the absolute best time on this tour--great group, great guide--and others even stopped us to get her contact info because we were clearly having a great time. In fact, we joked and asked so many questions that we ran our tour 30+ minutes long. Great choices of tastings, SO MANY stories and history. Highly recommend. Hope to tour with her again.

Robin was so great! Very knowledgeable and it was an overall fun tour! Highly recommend to anyone looking to do a NYC tour. We’re locals and still learned a lot!

We loved it. Cindy was entertaining, informative and we had a great time. Our 17 year old loved it too. Great food, lots of information and terrific experience

This was our third time taking this tour. And of the three this was the best. Our tour guide (Joe) always maintained the joyful spirit of Chelsea Market and gave a personal touch in all of the stories he had about the growth of Chelsea Market. Don’t miss it. You will regret it if you do. Thanks Joe.

Had a wonderful time with Robin! She knows so many fun and historical facts about Chelsea Market and the nearby neighborhood. I have one teenage daughter and she really enjoyed the tour too. We would definitely recommend for both the yummy food and awesome facts.

We booked the tour quite close to the departure time but were surprised to find that when we arrived there were only another four people on the tour which with ourselves made eight. (Max is 16 we believe, so 8 was ideal for us). On arrival just inside Chelsea Markets we were greeted by Joe our tour guide. Joe an actor by profession, was a very knowledgeable, passionate, friendly, funny & genuine guy who made the whole experience entertaining, enriched and immersive. The tour consisted of a walk around the Chelsea Markets and the various food outlets within the complex and an in depth explanation of the History of the Markets and surrounding areas. The tour included 8 tastings at various stops during the 3 hours of the attraction. The highlight for us was the Takumi Taco, a beautiful fusion of Japanese and Mexican cuisine. The tour also encompasses the surrounding areas around the markets and the opportunity to take photos and videos. Another highlight was the High Line walk and the accompanying information regarding its history and its subsequent restoration as a public space. (did get quite cold and windy on our visit so wrap up according to weather on your visit). In conclusion we would have to say we can fully recommend the tour as it offers value for money and if your fortunate enough to get Joe as your guide, affords you a very entertaining way of learning about an important culinary part of NY City's heritage. Excellent.
