Let me start by saying that our tour leader, Alex, was wonderful. He gave a very nice tour of the things that we did see on our half day tour. Alex was well informed and did a great job of conveying the history of San Antonio as well as his pride in the city. The low score is the result of the company canceling the stops at the Japanese Garden and the grotto. We completely understood why the stops were canceled because the locations were so busy that we could not have seen the attractions in the time allotted to the tour. However. We did not learn of the cancellations until we were onboard the bus and the tour was underway. We signed up for this tour in large part because of the stop at the Japanese Garden. It seems unethical not to inform passengers that two major parts of the tour were unavailable. I give our tour leader 5 stars and the Grayline Company 2 stars.

As luck would have it, I was the only one who signed up for the afternoon tour. I guess other people were too entwined with Day of the Dead activities. This left me one on in one with my tour guide Alex. I appreciated all that he shared. His knowledge on the background of the Mission Unesco World Heritage site was especially meaningful. Hope you are fortunate enough to get Alex when you sign up for your tour.

He knew a lot of local history and was able to really explain what and where in history we were being exposed to!! Can't say enough positive things about our tour, A+++++++. The Whites..
