Your Itinerary

Grand Teton National Park

If you need a day off from the slopes or only have one day to explore the area, we invite you to join us on a family-friendly private tour of Jackson Hole (or “the valley,” as locals like to say), the National Elk Refuge, and Grand Teton National Park. Our tours are designed to help you experience the most iconic wildlife, scenic places, and cultural attractions from the comfort and safety of one of our four-wheel-drive Chevy Suburbans or Ford Transit Vans. Our fun, knowledgeable, and safe guides will reconstruct the valley’s human history dating from prehistoric life 12,000 years ago to the arrival of legendary fur trappers, mountain men, explorers, pioneers, and artists. Our guides interpret the wide range of conservation and stewardship initiatives designed to protect the valley’s unique flora, fauna, and cultural resources for future generations. Seasonal wildlife may include bald eagles, bighorn sheep, bison, coyotes, elk, moose, red tail foxes, trumpeter swans, and wolves.

National Elk Refuge

The 24,700+ acre National Elk Refuge protects a critically important habitat for numerous iconic species, including elk, bison, wolves, trumpeter swans, bald eagles, bighorn sheep, and cutthroat trout. It is a premier location for wildlife watching, photography, and educational opportunities.

Kelly

(Pass by)

Founded by William Kelly in 1907, the town was nearly voted the county seat for Teton County in 1925. That same year a massive landslide dammed the Gros Ventre River forming Lower Slide Lake. Two years later, the natural dam failed, flooding the town and killing six people.

Mormon Row Historic District

(Pass by)

Formerly known as the town of Grovont, the Mormon Row Historic District is one of the most photographed areas of Grand Teton National Park.

Snake River Overlook

You will visit the location where Ansel Adams photographed his iconic image of the serpentine-like Snake River and the high peaks Teton Mountain Range.

Colter Bay Picnic Area

Conditions permitting, you will have a chance to explore the shoreline of a frozen Jackson Lake at Colter Bay Village. From the shoreline, you will enjoy fantastic views across Jackson Lake to Mount Moran and the northern end of the Teton Range.

Jackson Lake

(Pass by)

Jackson Lake is the remnant of large glacial gouging from the Teton Mountain Range and is fed by runoff from small glaciers. The main source of water is the Snake River, which flows from the nearby Teton Wildnerness Area.

Signal Mountain Summit Road

Enjoy a brief comfort stop at the historic Signal Mountain Lodge, and appreciate the majestic beauty of Jackson Lake and the massive 12,610-foot Mt. Moran. (please note Signal Mountain Summit is not accessible from November - May)

National Elk Refuge

Enjoy a one-hour horse-drawn sleigh ride on the National Elk Refuge. It's a western adventure like no other.
