Delightful, instructive, personalised and inspiring experience with Chris and Bonnie! My husband and I spent 4 hours with our instructors, working individually with each of them who tailor-made instruction to our particular talents and familiarity with photography. We used our IPhones and learned how to use the features of the cameras as well as being introduced to helpful apps. We enjoyed Chris and Bonnie so much that we feel that we made new friends and hope to stay in touch.

Due to some terrible traffic Chris was delayed so our tour started later than expected but that worked out fine. It gave me time to relax a bit after my drive until he arrived. And he extended our time together to ensure I had my full time with him so it was no problem at all. Since it was just me on this tour he offered to drive and leave my car, which allowed me to enjoy the scenery as we travelled to the different locations. He asked in advance what my expectations were as well as my skill level and adjusted the tour locations to ensure I got the shots I wanted. His level of expertise in photography techniques was invaluable. He taught me several tricks on how to get the best shot in different lighting. And now I can use my camera to its fullest potential. And I can take those waterfall shots where the water looks silky like the professionals. I had only used my camera the automatic setting or what I thought was automatic previously. Now I have had a crash course in the key elements to a good shot. We practiced prior to going to the locations so he knew my skill level and it was an educational and fun experience. I have so many amazing photos to remember this trip. Thank you Chris. I only regret that i did not get a chance to meet your wife as well on this trip. Perhaps on a future one.

We did a 1/2 day trip with Bonnie. She was wonderful and very helpful with making sure we got great pictures. We did not want to hike and get to far off the beaten path, but she did ask about that. My wife and daughter truly loved being able to capture the stunning views of the waterfalls and the vistas. We did not bring tripods, but Bonnie suggested they would help with some photos, so she let us use hers. There is quite a bit of driving up/down the mountains so be sure to have gas in the car like they advise. Also, their was only one stop for a restroom, so again heed their advice when they warn you about the infrequency of restrooms. Neither were an issue for us, but for others both could be. Overall a great time was had. My wife loved spending her Mother's day taking photos with our daughter. They haven't stopped looking at all the photos they got.

Bonnie and her husband called me several days before the tour and we had a great conversation. They asked about my previous photography experience and wanted to know what I was interested in learning. On the day of the tour, Bonnie then met me at a convenient location and took me to some beautiful places to take photos and also learn more about my camera. She was a great teacher and we had a lovely time! She also recommended some apps to download and we had fun experimenting with those too. I not only learned a bunch, but I felt like I made a new friend. Very enjoyable and worthwhile experience!

We had a wonderful 4 hours with an experienced and patient photographer. He really wanted us to get what we wanted out of the course and we did! Learned more about my new camera and also ideas on how to frame a good photo plus a few other techniques . I hope to do it again soon!

Oh the places Chris took us on the Blue Ridge Parkway…. The fact that this was “hands on” made the “tour” a very positive and productive learning experience. I no longer walk anywhere without framing a picture around a hero. I see things I never took the time to notice before even when I don’t have my camera with me.

We had a perfect photography experience! It was a gift for my daughter with her new camera and she loved every minute of it. Chris & Bonnie were incredibly kind, patient, knowledgeable and went above & beyond. They took us to some magical spots and even taught us some local history. Highly recommend the experience with them! Whether you’re a novice or advanced.

Chris is a fantastic guide! I learned a lot about my camera and came away with lots of beautiful photos. We got to see several spectacular and lesser known waterfalls. My favorite part was getting out on the rocks at the 2nd waterfall, lots of interesting photos. The views from the Vistas along the blue Ridge Parkway were amazing as well. We lucked out with sunlight hitting the trees just so. I would recommend this tour to everyone!

I lucked out and got a private tour with Chris since no one else signed up! He was kind enough to let me borrow a few things for my new camera. Chris was patient, encouraging, and fun while I experimented with different camera settings and compositions. I learned a lot, got some great shots, and am so glad I booked this birthday present for myself!
