Loved all the food, our guide was friendly but got a bit flustered when one group was late The tour is very high level about Harvard so just be aware

The chocolate tasting was great, however, I wish more attention was paid to my daughters food allergies.

We had a very fun group that we just met there and a very friendly and nice guide. Ice cream was delicious. The kids loved the little quizzes about the area.

This was a fun tour that had interesting information about chocolate and Harvard Square. It was very easy to find Courtney, our tour guide, and the group at the meeting area. The directions were very clear. The tour group was a good size - about ten people - and fans of chocolate to one degree or another. The samples of cocoa beans and cocoa juice were very interesting, and the samples from the many shops through town were delicious.

My husband and I took this tour with our 12 year old niece and had a great time. We’re from the area and just did this for fun. Our guide Courtney was very personable and added her own flair to the tour. In general, I think this was a great way to learn more about the smaller businesses in the ever-changing Harvard Square. I would have liked to have learned more about how chocolate is made or about the history of it though. This tour was really about going to places and eating, which was great, but to me it felt like it was missing a little something. The best stop by far was at Salt and Olive to learn about balsamics and salt. We tried a chocolate balsamic and a chocolate salt, which was really cool. The shop owner was so thorough!

Harvard Square Chocolate tour was GREAT... Courtney was an excellent guide. She waited for us as we were late. She was knowledgeable and fun. My teenage grandkids loved it.

We took the Harvard Square Chocolate Tour with “Off the Beaten Path.” Alexis was our tour guide, and she led us on an informative tour that included an interesting assortment of historical information related to both the history of both Harvard Square, and facts about chocolate. We tasted chocolate treats at 5 different small local businesses in the Square, each more delicious than the last! It was a fun way to spend a lovely afternoon

Molly was a great tour guide. She was very knowledgable about not only chocolate but the inner workings of the trade and the science behind how we know chocolate today. She was considerate, we were a little late but she made sure to wait till we were all there to begin the tour. She answered questions as best as possible too! It was also my mom's birthday and I had mentioned that prior to booking the tour and throughout the tour they gave her special gifts or gave her extra samples for her birthday which was really appreciated, we weren't expecting that, at the end of the tour everyone sang happy birthday to her. It made her day extra special, she was so happy! I would definitely recommend booking with this company!

There were 4 persons in our party our tour guide was Sammy . I thought this was suppose to be a chocolate tour , The only good part was The SwissBakers , We got to taste a mouthful of 2 brownies and mini cup of hot chocolate and one place, , a cookie at another place, We stopped in the middle of the street to sip some cacao juice Sammy had in her back pack, last place was The Cabot candy store which we were suppose to try white chocolate and didn't we were given 4 pieces of taffy and a sliver of chocolate peanut butter fudge. This to me is certainly not a chocolate tour , no dark chocolate or any chocolate for that matter. We couldn't hear her as it was a party of 12 , if I wanted pastry then you should have named it a pastry tour. I definitely would not recommend.

I had a blast on my Chocolate Tour with Off The Beaten Path Food Tours and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a “sweet” way to have fun. I was part of a Bachelorette party that kicked off the weekend of celebration on this tour. Our guide Sarah, the owners Lizzie and Sam along with all the companies we visited went out of their way to make the bride-to-be feel special and create unforgettable moments for everyone to share with her. In addition to personalizing the tour, Sarah brought us to unique and delicious places most of us never thought to visit in Harvard Square. This tour was perfect and I can’t thank them enough for the special and memorable time!
